Privacy notice

Your information, handled proportionately.

Last updated 28 August 2026

Pargrove is a small consultancy. It uses limited personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange conversations, develop relevant business relationships and deliver its work.

Who is responsible

Guy Beresiner, trading as Pargrove, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. For any privacy question or request, email guy@pargrove.com.

Information used

This may include your name, role, employer, business contact details, meeting details, correspondence and anything you choose to provide in an enquiry. Pargrove may also use limited professional information obtained from public business sources, such as company websites and LinkedIn, or from a referral.

The website and its hosting providers may process basic technical information needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser information and request logs. Pargrove does not use advertising trackers or behavioural profiling on this site.

Why it is used

  • Enquiries and meetings: Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR, where processing is necessary for Pargrove’s legitimate interests in responding to and managing business enquiries. If you contract, or are considering contracting, with Pargrove in your personal capacity, Article 6(1)(b) may also apply.
  • Consultancy services and client administration: Article 6(1)(b) where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you as an individual; Article 6(1)(f) where you represent a corporate client and processing is necessary to manage that relationship; and Article 6(1)(c) where processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
  • Relevant business development: Article 6(1)(f), where processing is necessary for Pargrove’s legitimate interest in developing its business through proportionate approaches to people whose professional roles indicate that the services may be relevant. This interest is assessed against the individual’s rights, interests and reasonable expectations.
  • Website operation and security: Article 6(1)(f), where processing is necessary for Pargrove’s legitimate interests in providing, maintaining and protecting the site.

Business development communications

Marketing is selective and business-focused, not indiscriminate. Pargrove may use legitimate interests for relevant communications to people at companies and other corporate subscribers. Where the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require consent, including for individual subscribers, Pargrove will only send electronic marketing where valid consent or another permitted basis applies. Every objection or opt-out will be respected.

Service providers and other recipients

Personal information is disclosed only where necessary. The principal service providers are Google for business email, calendar, appointment booking and video meetings; Microsoft for business document storage; Cloudflare for domain and related security services; and OpenAI, which hosts and operates this site through OpenAI Sites.

These organisations process information under the contractual terms applicable to the relevant service. Depending on the service and context, a provider may act as Pargrove’s processor or as a separate controller for aspects of its own processing. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or public authorities where necessary or legally required.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data protection law requires a transfer safeguard, Pargrove relies on the applicable adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention and security

Enquiry, meeting and business-development records are normally reviewed and deleted when no longer relevant, and ordinarily within 24 months of the last meaningful contact. Client and financial records may be kept for up to seven years where needed for contractual, tax or legal purposes. Suppression records are retained for as long as necessary to honour an objection.

Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal information. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to its use. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Pargrove does not make solely automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

To exercise a right, email guy@pargrove.com. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Pargrove would welcome the opportunity to address your concern first.

Changes

This notice will be updated if Pargrove’s use of personal information changes materially. The current version will always be published here.
